After spending 17 years teaching in small town Texas, Tres Womack began to share his songwriting with the rest of Texas...then the World.

What he found were thousands of "built-in" fans from...his classroom. Former students continue to be his biggest supporters. Since, he's landed songs on compilations in the UK and the states.

He is a member of the Texas Alt-Country band Getocowboys, currently recording their follow-up to "Hard Luck Symphony."

Womack's 2008 "Freak Show", which featured 12 unique songs all penned by Womack, spent 26 weeks on the Americana Music Association chart.

"Gather 'Round" from "Freak Show" was named "Song of the Year" by the Academy of Texas Music in 2009.

He also performs with the Austin FunkGrass band The Chubby Knuckle Choir.

Tres is also one of A Major Funding’s founding Directors, and a driving force behind the Rhythm and Rations Roadshow.
